What is Blogger?


Blogger is a platform that allows blog-publishing service. Blogger is developed by "Pyra Labs" on August 23, 1999, and in 2003 Google was bought it. Blogger also supports multi-user blogs. Blogger provides free and high-quality hosting and free subdomain (.blogspot.com)
Blogger's blogs are hosted by Google. Blogs also served from custom domains by using DNS facilities to direct a domain to Google's servers. Blogger's user can create 100 blogs per account.

Blogger Features

On May 9, 2004, Blogger introduced new features:
  • Web standards-compliant templates
  • Individual archive pages for posts
  • Comments
In 2006, Blogger introduces several new features:
  • Label
  • The drag-and-drop template editing interface
  • Reading permissions (to create private blogs)
  • Web feed options
In September 2009, Blogger adds newer features:
  • New interface for post-editing.
  • Improved image handling.
  • Raw HTML Conversion.
  • Adding location to posts via geotagging.
  • Post-time-stamping at the post.
  • Vertical re-sizing of the post editor.
  • Link editing in compose mode.
  • New toolbar with Google aesthetics, undo and redo buttons, full justification button, a strike-through button, and an expanded color palette.
On 31 August 2011, Blogger introduces new design template built with AJAX, HTML5, and CSS3 known as "Dynamic View".
